Buzz Beer and Buzz Alcopops Lebanon

There’s a duality to me when I travel of wanting to eat and drink things I have missed, to wanting to try local variations. Thus seeing Buzz Beer and Buzz Alcopops I felt it a no brainer that I had to try them, well at least some.

The Smirnoff Ice Challenge

I’m into #ColaQuest and #FantaQuest, but I am equally passionate about #SmirnoffIceQuest. Essentially Smirnoff Ice was the original alcoholic Lemonade. For my generation it was one of the first things we got sauced on, so there is a nostalgia.

I have since tried many varieties, with Tanduay Ice of the Philippines being my favourite and boozless non-alcoholic Iranian Smirnoff ice being near the bottom.

While little can be garnered from the internet about this company I can confirm they were formed by Kassatly Chtaura who have been expanding their range since 2001, introducing a super-strength lager in 2015. It was 10 percent and yes I did try it!

Luckily not just for the bums of the country! It was though the Buzz Alcopops that really hit me.

Rome wasn’t built in a day and I cannot try every single drink in one night. I did though try the Lemonade at normal strength and the Buzz Beer Alcoholic Lemonade at 10 percent.

Both were good, with the later tasting alarmingly normal, something would bite me on the ass the following morning.

Through my interwebs skills I have been able to deduce some of the other flavours they offer.

So there you have it Buzz Beer Lebanon! Generally speaking drinking in this country is already cheap enough, but if you are on a budget need a lateral buzz and a brand you can trust then the Street Food Guy advocates Buzz Beer!

Alternatively, you can visit the best bar in Beirut, though unfortunately, they don’t serve Buzz Beer. But if you’re wondering, can you put ice in beer, you might want to ask the bartender for their take!
